JoAnn and Newt Flora opened one of the first, if not the first Oklahoma Bed & Breakfast in their home in the 1980's.   Located near Penn Square Mall and Baptist Hospital, their Flora's Bed & Breakfast, became a haven to many travelers through the Oklahoma City Area.

JoAnn was a mentor to many innkeepers as new Bed & Breakfast opened through the years.  Known for her keen eye, she would find just what you needed for that empty corner in a guestroom.  Her knowledge of property management and law was a blessings as Oklahoma Bed & Breakfast grew in popularity and size.
